This June we are proud to present Beats… Rhymes… And… a Photographic & Artistic Movement of Naya’Hri Zaire-Suhalia.

Opening reception is Friday June, 3rd – 8 to 11 pm. It will be a gallery crawl night here in NoDa and the party will be going on here at Custom. ProperCupcakes will be representing with tasty treats as always. Wine and beer will be flowing and live music will be provided by DJ’s Ja’Maul Redmond and David Thomason. There will also be live body painting by Catherine McElvane of Spirit Works Art & Design.

“7807 Media presents “Beats, Rhymes, And…”, a new body of twenty-five photographic & digitally illustrated images from visual artist Naya’Hri Zaire-Suhalia. In this collection, Suhalia focuses on bringing the age old combination of body movement and photoshop together while creating a unique interpetation of becoming “virtually captivated”.
“I hate photoshop,” Suhalia admits, “But I love that I was able to get over my issues with the program and create works that I believe will truly awaken the eyes, minds and BODIES of anyone that views them”.
“Beats, Rhymes, And…” will be on display at Custom and Espada Gallery, located in the heart of the NoDa Arts District of Charlotte, from June 1st to June 30th 2011. The opening reception will be on FRIDAY, JUNE 3rd, 2011, 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, during the 1st Friday NoDa Gallery Art Crawl. All works will be available for purchase.”
